I think I mention that I have the world’s most dehydrated and sensitive skin in almost every skincare post. Fortunately, I have found products that compliment my sensitive skin, but have not found anything that has been overly effective in combating my dehydration… Until I discovered the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Booster Serum.
I’d been struggling with dried-out lockdown skin and was on the lookout for a product that would add that much-needed hydration back into my skin. I did some research and stumbled across the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Booster Serum. I’d seen it floating around as a raved-about product within the beauty community, so I decided to give it a try to see if it lived up to the hype.
From the first application, I kid you not, I saw immediate results! It did exactly as it says on the tin and added moister back into my skin almost instantly! My skin was left feeling hydrated, plump, and supple…I was truly blown away by how quickly it had transformed my skin that I had to write a review about it – as it is a definite must-have if you too are struggling with dehydrated skin.
So first things first…What is it? It is described as being a moister boosting serum that hydrates and boosts moisture levels in your skin instantly…Yep!… I can vouch for that!
What’s in it: It contains a pure form of Hyaluronic acid, which is intended to draw water deep into your skin leaving it feeling hydrated and nourished. Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in our skin, hair & joints and is capable of absorbing up to 1000 times its weight in water- keeping our tissues hydrated and plumped.
Sadly, as we get older the ability to produce this acid decreases, and the lack of water in our skin leads to fine wrinkles, lines, and dehydrated skin.
The good news is that when you apply hyaluronic acid to your facial skin, it makes it a lot more resilient and protects it from environmental aggression and bacteria. Plus, it acts like a sponge to anything you apply on top of it, making the moister stay on your skin for longer. I like to apply a water-based moisturiser like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Moisteriser on top to give my skin that extra added hydration.
How do I use it: It’s advised that you apply a pea-sized amount onto cleansed skin daily, either in the AM or the PM – and that you use it under moisturiser. As I have sensitive skin, I like to use it once in the morning, but I have used it twice a day and I haven’t had a reaction to it. I would recommend starting off using it once a day if you have reactive skin like mine.
What I like about it
- Instantly hydrates
- Makes my skin feel plump & radiant
- Doesn’t feel oily or greasy
- Leaves my skin feeling supple & soft
- Doesn’t have a funky smell
- Absorbs immediately
- Doesn’t break me out
- Helps to prevent premature aging
- Is reasonably priced
- Does exactly what it says on the box
What I don’t like
- That I didn’t discover it sooner!
- I LOVE everything about it.
- NEVER discontinue it!
Verdict: In case you couldn’t tell, I am totally obsessed with this product. Before I tried the hydraluron moisture serum, I was at the end of my tether with my dehydrated skin. I had tried several rich moisturisers and oils which all claimed to add hydration back into my skin, but did nothing of the sort. They would only end up breaking me out and making my skin more dehydrated in the long run.
Admittedly, I was a little dubious about how well a gel serum would work at hydrating my skin – However, due to the hyaluronic acid, it works like an absolute treat and is probably the most effective product I’ve ever used at hydrating my skin. I was honestly amazed at how quickly it transformed my skin from dehydrated and flaky – to plump and radiant.
I have also noticed that it has helped to even out my skin tone and fade away dislocation or marks that I have had from blemishes a lot quicker. My foundation applies on like a dream, without me having to worry about any dry patches or flaking skin. Thank you to indeed labs for creating such an incredible little product, I wish I had followed the hype and started using it a lot sooner!
