NEW RELEASES FROM RIMMEL

Rimmel as a brand holds a lot of nostalgic memories for when I first started getting into makeup. The Professional Eyebrow Pencil and the Natural Bronzing Powder will forever be two of my favourite drugstore products of all time. Trust me they are INCREDIBLE! When Superdrug reached out to ask if I wanted to review some of Rimmels new releases, I was extremely thrilled and of course jumped at the opportunity:)

RITA ORA SHADES OF BLACK  NAIL AND LIP COLLECTION

I’ve written a post about how much I adore the Oh my lip glosses so I was intrigued by this gorgeous, majestic deep blue shade in ‘820 moonlight’. Would I wear it on a normal day?… Probably not, but I do think it will be the perfect shade to pop on if you’re feeling adventurous on a night out or if you want to look glam for Halloween. Another item that will also be perfect for the Halloween season is the Rita Ora varnish in the shade ‘gothic garden’. Everyone needs a good gothic shade in their collection for autumn and the formula of these varnishes are just flawless!

I have never owned any form of Lip art so was super happy to have received the lip top coat in the shade 010 Pearlescent. What I love about Rimmels lip glosses is that they have a super comfortable and opaque formula without feeling sticky. I feel that this gloss will be perfect for adding that unique iridescent sparkle on top of any lipstick. I will definitely be popping this on top of a matte red to give my lips some sparkle during the Xmas period:)

WONDER’FULLY REAL MASCARA & WONDER’WING EYELINER

Firstly, can we please take a moment to appreciate the names of these products. I love the witty play on words and I can safely say that they are nothing but wonderous:) Wonder’wing eyeliner features a wing-shaped stamp which makes it super easy to use.  Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it is. I usually struggle with eyeliner, but this enabled me to create a simple wing that effortlessly glided on. The formula is super opaque, remarkably black and extremely long lasting. I am truly amazed at how good this is and feel it will become a staple in my makeup collection.

The Wonder’fully Real Mascara instantly reminded me of the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara which I am a huge fan of. It’s tapered, easy control brush made it easy for me to coat all my lashes and provide amazing length and separation. It also added impressive volume without looking clumpy which I believe is due to the keratin enriched formula that it holds. I can safely say that both the Wonder’fully Real Mascara and Wonder’wing eyeliner have totally taken me by surprise and I feel are at a great price point for the quality.

NEW RIMMEL KATE BLUSH AND HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE

Rimmel Kate highlighting and blsh palette .JPG

If you know me then you’ll know that I’m highlighter obsessed. When I saw the new Kate Rimmel highlighting palette in my package I let out a high pitched squeal that could probably be heard from another country. I haven’t tried the sculpting palettes from Kate so I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of the formula. Visually the shades are beautiful and look super wearable. Admittedly, they were difficult to swatch as they don’t have the smoothest formula. However, I was highly impressed by their pigmentation as they gave me the most gorgeous and radiant sheen. Yes, I can certainly say that it was love at first try with this highlighting palette!

I’m not typically experimental with my blush and just tend to stick to my Milani Luminoso so it was interesting to see how the blush palette would match up. Similarly to the highlighting palette, the shades look beautiful and extremely wearable. Ironically, the shade in the middle reminded me of Luminoso which of course is the shade that I went for. I immediately noticed how pigmented these blushes are so a little really does go a long way. I usually find drugstore blushes to be quite glittery and chalky, but these blushes gave me a subtle radiant flush of colour without looking too overbearing. I feel this palette will also suit all skin tones which gets a huge thumbs up from me.

I hope that you have enjoyed this post and got a good insight into what’s new from Rimmel. I truly feel that Rimmel is a brand that rarely fails to disappoint me with new releases and I believe that I have discovered a few gems within this new collection.

Which new releases have you been loving?
