Hello guys, I hope you are all doing well 🙂

So I’m back with a review on the Benefit Erase Paste Concealer. This concealer has been around for years and I remember how much it was praised in the blogosphere when I first started getting into face base products.  It wasn’t until I was filming a makeup tutorial recently that I realised how dark my under eye circles look due to sleep deprivation, which then prompted me to purchase it.

It is marketed as being a brightening and creamy concealer designed to hide signs of stress & fatigue in the face and eyes.

Packaging & Shade range

It comes in three shades light, medium and dark which is not an expansive selection, but I feel it serves its purpose of concealing certain areas of your face. I went for the shade Light as I wanted to use it for concealing & brightening my under eyes. I like the fact that it also has a peachy undertone to it as this works well in counteracting my dark circles and also concealing any red mark that I may have acquired from blemishes.

I adore all of Benefit’s packaging, and this packaging is no exception as it is fun, cute and girly! The concealer itself is contained in a round screw top pot which comes with a mini spatula so you can scoop out the product. You also get a step by step guidance leaflet on how to use the product which is extremely helpful for any new-bees.

Texture & Finish

I was a little weary of purchasing this concealer as I usually find concealers that come in a paste form quite cakey and drying, which is the last thing you want for your under eyes. However, when the shop assistant tested it on me before I purchased it, I was instantly impressed at how creamy it was, making it a dream to apply. I also noticed that the darkness under my eyes had instantly disappeared, which lifted my face…It was indeed love at first try:)

How I like to use it

Step 1- I use my concealer brush to get some concealer out, making sure I’m applying thin layers to build it up to my desired coverage.

Step 2- I create a V shape under my eyes using the concealer brush which helps warm the concealer up ready for blending!

Step 3- I blend the concealer out using my damp beauty blender.

Step 4- I then go ahead and apply my foundation on top of the concealer as I feel it works better for me that way. I will then apply my Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer to provide further coverage.

Step 5- I like to dust a little setting powder to lock everything in place to finish it off and wallah…No dark circles in sight!

Before & After                                                                   PicMonkey Collage 4

As you can see in the before picture my under eye appears dark and hollow. Notice how the discoloration has disappeared and my eyes look lifted in the after picture.

I have used it ever since I bought it as I am addicted to how flawless and lifted it makes my under eyes appear. I cannot imagine applying my makeup without it as if you know me then you’ll know I love a full, flawless coverage. I would recommend this to anyone who desires a bit more coverage for their under eyes or needs to conceal any redness or marks… I guarantee this will definitely be your guy and you will be hooked on this little find just as much as I am:)

I hope you have found this post helpful, have you tried the Benefit Erase Paste Concealer yet?
