Hi guys! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the beautiful weather that we’ve been having recently:) I feel that it has been a while since I’ve updated you on what’s been sitting firmly in my makeup bag and wanted to let you know what makeup items I’ve been using daily to make me look more human! :p. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you’ll know that if I find something that I like, then I’ll tend to stick with it. However, I have discovered and rediscovered some pretty fabulous makeup bit’s that I wanted to share with you. So without further ado, let’s jump straight into my makeup bag!
As this is my everyday makeup, I tend to keep it pretty simple and natural. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have the time to be doing bridal makeup in the morning when the only thing on my mind is COFFEE!!! I feel that these products make me look like I’ve put in more effort than I actually have…which is never a bad thing:)
So to kick start my base I have recently discovered a new primer which I never thought I’d say, as I was loyal to my Benefit The POREfessional. Although now, Estee’ Lauder The Smoother Universal Protecting Primer has certainly taken over. It is extremely similar in texture to The POREfessional, yet I prefer the Estee’ Lauder primer as It feels slightly less oily and does a better job at hydrating my dry skin. Next, I like to apply my Loreal True match foundation. Honestly, can a foundation get anymore more perfect? I love that fact that it provides high coverage yet being dewy at the same time.
Then I take my Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in light to conceal any dark circles and my unwelcome under eye bags which have been rather ‘baggy’ lately 🙁 I will then go ahead and use my trusty Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in light medium to cover up any blemishes, although, sometimes I’ll skip this part as I feel the True Match provides enough coverage. Honestly, this concealer really is that good and definitely worth the hype! I don’t do too much to my brows and simply swipe some NYX Tinted Brow Mascara to help them stay in place and add some definition.
I’ve ditched setting my face with my beloved Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder lately, as I’m digging the dewy look due to the warmer months. Although, one thing I can never ditch is bronzing up that face and when it comes to bronzers Estee’ lauder sure know how to make a good one! Although I am still obsessed with my Estee’ Lauder Bronze Goddess, I have been reaching for the Estee Edit Bronzer as it gives my face more of a glow and I’m all about the bronzed glowy look at the moment
Unmistakably, no glowy look will be complete without a popping highlighter and one that I’ve fallen back in love with is my Laura Geller Beauty Baked Illuminator in gilded honey. This little golden gem is virtually summer in a pot that gives my skin that ‘lit from within’ radiance and makes me feel like a Victoria Secret Model…a girl can dream right?
So the final steps are my lips and eyes! I don’t know why I leave these for last, but I feel that I need to perfect my base first. I’ve recently discovered a mascara that I’ve totally fallen for which is the Estee’ Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Mascara. This mascara lifts and defines my lashes beautifully where I don’t feel I need eyelash curlers, so perfect for the morning rush. Last but by certainly no means least, I apply Macs Velvet Teddy all over my lips for the perfect, everyday nude pout. If you have read my previous post then you’ll know that liquid lipsticks are my thang, but I tend to stick to lipsticks during the warmer months to go with my dewy skin vibe.
What makeup items have you been loving and are getting you summer ready?
